The Korean Husband

He was born in July 1986, in Daejeon City, South Korea just 2 hours away from Seoul. As the youngest son in the Shin family (Hangul: 신, Hanja: 申), he is often 'babied' by his parents - who happen to be the most humble, loving and kind folks I've ever met. He attended Sogang University (서강대학교) in Seoul and spent almost 6 years living alone in Seoul. In 2012, he graduated with a law degree from Sogang.

We first met in December 2012 at Kaohsiung International Airport (Taiwan). Prior to our first meeting, we had been talking over the internet, kakaotalk, skype etc. After 4 years in a long distance relationship, we got married in November 2016.

I write about all-things-Korean from a Singaporean's perspective. I hope this blog encourages couples who are like us!

Why Kimchi boy?
My Taiwanese family calls him "泡菜男" which translates into 泡菜(Kimchi) 男(Boy).
